About the Role
As a Salesforce Integration Specialist, you’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable integration frameworks that ensure real-time synchronization and reliability across multiple platforms.
You’ll collaborate with architects, developers, and client stakeholders to deliver end-to-end integration solutions leveraging APIs, middleware, and native Salesforce capabilities.
This role demands a strong technical foundation, an analytical mindset, and a deep understanding of how systems communicate in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, Informatica, Boomi, or similar middleware platforms.
Configure and optimize authentication flows (OAuth, JWT, SSO, LDAP) ensuring security and performance best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues related to data exchange, performance, and connectivity.
Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and business analysts to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring integration challenges and implement long-term solutions.
Develop scripts (JavaScript, Python, or Shell) to automate data transfer and testing processes.
Monitor integration performance, data integrity, and service reliability through logs and dashboards.
Document integration patterns, architecture diagrams, and system dependencies for ongoing governance.
Qualifications
Professional Experience: 2–5 years of total experience in Integration Engineering or Technical Support for SaaS/Cloud systems.
Integration Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on integration experience with Salesforce or other enterprise CRM platforms.
API & Middleware Skills: Proven experience implementing and troubleshooting integrations using MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or custom REST/SOAP APIs.
Cross-System Understanding: Knowledge of connecting Salesforce with ERPs, Data Warehouses, or Identity Providers.
Performance Optimization: Ability to diagnose bottlenecks, optimize data throughput, and ensure fault-tolerant integration flows.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Salesforce Experience: Exposure to Salesforce APIs (REST, Bulk, Metadata, Tooling, Streaming), Apex callouts, and Platform Events.
Middleware Expertise: Hands-on experience with MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or Jitterbit for system integration and ETL operations.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of web services (SOAP/REST), JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0, and SSO protocols.
Solid command of SQL and scripting (JavaScript / Python / Shell).
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and network troubleshooting tools.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical approach to diagnosing integration and data synchronization issues.
Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work cross-functionally with business, DevOps, and engineering teams.
Agile Methodologies: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines for integration testing and deployment.
