About the Role

As a Salesforce QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and functional accuracy of Salesforce implementations across complex business processes.
You’ll work closely with developers, admins, and business teams to design test strategies, execute end-to-end testing, and maintain quality standards across all Salesforce releases.

This role demands a detail-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of Salesforce features, workflows, and integration touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce applications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Custom Apps).

• Perform functional, regression, UI, integration, and UAT testing across multiple Salesforce environments.

• Validate end-to-end business workflows, including automation rules, flows, validation rules, approval processes, and triggers.

• Collaborate with developers and admins to identify defects, analyze root causes, and ensure timely resolution.

• Work with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into robust testing scenarios.

• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Workbench, or REST/SOAP testing utilities.

• Validate data integrity during data migration, integrations, and system updates.

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cycles following Agile methodologies.

• Document test results, traceability matrices, and defect logs for ongoing governance.

Qualifications

• Professional Experience: 2–5 years of total QA/testing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in Salesforce QA.

• Salesforce Testing: Hands-on experience testing Salesforce configuration (Objects, Fields, Flows, Validation Rules) and customizations (Apex, LWC, APIs).

• Test Tools & Processes: Strong experience with JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar test management tools.

• API Testing: Ability to conduct REST/SOAP API testing using Postman, Workbench, or similar tools.

• Integration Understanding: Knowledge of validating Salesforce integrations with third-party systems.

• Regression & Automation: Familiarity with automation frameworks like Selenium, Provar, ACCELQ, or Katalon is a plus.

• Performance & Security Awareness: Understanding of governor limits, platform constraints, and QA best practices.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

• Salesforce Proficiency: Exposure to Salesforce Admin features, Apex basics, SOQL, Platform Events, and API debugging tools.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

  • Proficiency in SOQL/SOSL and data validation.

  • Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API response validation.

• QA Mindset: Ability to identify edge cases, validate complex workflows, and ensure high-quality releases.

• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with dev, BA, and product teams.

• CI/CD: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps) for test execution or automation.
